Following the recent completion of Building A Westfield, Stratford, CDM Services have been appointed again by Simpson Haugh to provide Principal Designer Advisor services on the next phase of the M7 offices, Building B.
Situated adjacent to Building A, Building B will provide 300,000 sqft high quality office accommodation and will be connected to Building A by a basement area for goods loading and servicing, plant, storage areas and ancillary accommodation. This will be accessed by the existing ramp loading dock serving the adjacent John Lewis store with a new link to the office basement.
The towers are partly sited on top of the existing M7 retail block as well as the vacant adjacent site and will interconnect with the existing retail cores in the north core.
The large deep plan office floor plates incorporate an atrium and there is a large roof terrace giving extensive views over the Queen Elizabeth Park. The scheme incorporates large entrance lobbies, including a mezzanine which is capable of accommodating café and business lounge requirements with between the completed blocks at ground floor a glazed Winter garden. Building B also accommodates restaurant facilities fronting on to Chestnut Plaza.
There is extensive landscaping including roof terrace, Winter Garden and a surrounding streets public realm design.
